A full rewire replaces the fixed electrical circuits throughout a property. It normally includes a new consumer unit, power and lighting circuits, suitable protection, earthing and bonding, smoke-alarm supplies, testing, labelling and certification.
A good rewire is designed around how the house will be used for the next several decades. Socket quantities, kitchen equipment, lighting controls, data, heating, EV charging and future extensions should be planned before walls and floors are opened.

How we carry out the work
Design room by room
We agree socket positions, lighting, switching, fixed equipment, alarms and allowance for future systems.
First fix
New cable routes and back boxes are installed while access is available. Routes are coordinated with plumbing, insulation and structural work.
Second fix and commissioning
Accessories, fittings and the consumer unit are connected, every circuit is tested and documentation is completed.

Does every old house need rewiring?
No. Condition and test results matter more than age alone. An EICR can help establish whether full or partial renewal is justified.
Can we stay in the house?
Sometimes, but loss of power, open floors, dust and room access can make vacant working safer and more efficient.
What paperwork comes with a rewire?
You should receive an Electrical Installation Certificate and the applicable Building Regulations compliance documentation.
