Is testing the same as an EICR?
An EICR is one formal use of inspection and testing. New work, minor work and fault finding use different records and scopes.
Can a visual check prove a circuit is safe?
No. Visual inspection is important but cannot establish all electrical characteristics.
Will testing damage electronic equipment?
Circuits and connected equipment are managed before tests that could affect them. Access and correct isolation are essential.
