Access control and door-entry systems manage who can enter a building using fobs, cards, keypads, intercoms, mobile credentials or reception release. The system includes readers, controllers, power supplies, locks, request-to-exit devices and interfaces to doors or fire systems.
Door hardware and life safety are central to the design. A secure electric lock must still allow safe escape and behave correctly during power failure or fire alarm operation where required.
